Anita Charles, the BYU Bookstore's expert in Children's Literature, as well as the primary contributor to Y-Read. She serves as a great example and advocate to children and adults to make reading a life-time habit. To set this example, she has made a goal to read many books from various genres this year.

- Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson
- Blood Red Road by Moira Young
- The Hare with Amber Eyes by Edmund de Waal
- The Gift of Rest by Joseph Lieberman
- Some Assembly Required by Anne Lamott
- Flunking Sainthood by Jana Reiss
- Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle ("AGAIN to commemorate the 50th anniversary" - Anita)
- Stuff by Terry Pratchett
- Ghost Knight by Cornelia Funke
Anita continues to praise literature by seeking out new books and actively reading.
